Trying to get plates...where do I get a trailer weighed?

Postby Lud » Mon Mar 03, 2008 5:57 pm

Thanks so much for helpng me out on looking for a car hauler. I found a good used one for around 1700 and bought it. Got it insured but trying to get it registered is a real PITA. I have the bill of sale and the title but the trailer was registered in Kansas. I guess by bringing it into WA state they need proof of the trailer's weight.

I was told I have to get it weighed. Of course they couldn't tell me where. I already asked Tim (Lurch) on this board and he told me just north of town on 395 there's a place. Just wondering if anyone knows of any places in town.

The Kennewick dump station has let me weigh my jeep before.. hard to catch them when there's not a huge line of trucks though.

Head north on 395 and cut off into the truck stop there. they have cat scales so you can get a proof of weight ont eh receipt for $7 most likely.
