Pitbull tires

Postby oltmann » Sat Jan 05, 2008 6:58 pm

Pitbull is making some tires soon in a size I might be able to use.

39.5 x 14.5 x 16.5 Maddogs.
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=644354

Has anyone seen the 35" maddogs?

What do you guys think of the pics on pirate, does it seem like the pattern would work as well as the rocker? If these were in the rocker pattern, I think my mind would be made up.

Oh yeah, sold the SXs last week, so I'm trying to lineup my next tire. If not PBs, it'll probably be Iroks.

The 14.5 wide maddogs are new, they have had a 16.5 wide rockers have been out for a while.

I just heard there will be a 42 rocker out sometime soon(44s as well), so that will probably be what I go with. 8)

If the money fairy comes, I'm thinking of the 39.5s for snow tires.

The 39.5s are a good looking tire for snow, pretty wide. In the pics I saw on pirate, they are only slightly taller than a 38.5 SX

The 42s are supposed to be a fair amount narrower then the current 39.5s, I like that for general trail wheelin. I'm hoping they run about 40" true height. I don't want a true 42" tire, but I'll take 'em if they are. 8)

I was really thinking about those maddog's, but I don't know if they will be aggressive enough for the slop we sometimes end up in. If they had made that carcass in the rocker, I'd already have an order in!

Pic quote from thread above:

"This is next to a old inflated 39.5 Bogger on the left. The right is a new, unmounted 39.5 Bogger. The tread on the Rocker is around 12" actual."

I know! I'm excited to see they are narrower than the 39s.

I like my tires the opposite of my figure.... 8)

I'd betcha 4 six packs that those are the same tire as the 42" IROKs. . .I've peeped them off of the rim and they have the exact same profile.

I wouldn't bet against ya. I've heard(maybe from you?) that they use interco molds.

The 39 rockers look like the 39 bogger carcass for sure.

The Russian judge gave you a 9.85. Your winch control box is crooked or you'd gotten a perfect score. It has a great look to it.
