SD-33 starter?

Postby White trash » Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:05 pm

So I've got a buddy with a nissan diesel from a Scout going into a very cool flatty and he's having a huge issue finding a starter. He can a new one but its $500... Anyone have a line on a good used one? I guess the one that came with the engine is cracked so it can't be rebuilt.

Thanks in advance! 8)

Did he check with SAS (Starter alternator service) in Kennewick off of 395?
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Nope, he's actually in florida... If I can find a core I'll take it to Kenny to be built then ship it to him. 8)

If you have a lot of time and don't mind wading through a WHOLE lot of bsing HERE is his origional build thread of the flat fender and HERE is the build thread of the rig with the SD-33 in it. He is a SKILLED craftsman so there is a lot of really cool stuff.

Phil just doesn't get the whole computer thing. Still does business the old fashioned way -- over the phone. The last time I was there, he had several Nissan starters. I paid $90 for mine.
