Most of you know by now that 4 club members have started an off-road race team. What you may not know is that we are racing professionally in the premier desert race series in the USA, Best in the Desert (www.bitd.com). We have parts sponsorships from Ford Truck Motorsports and Goodyear Tires as well as some smaller deals for discounts on things we consume (RaceRunner Shocks, DJ Safety equipment, radio equipment, State Transmission etc.).
Our next race is the longest, most challenging point to point desert race in the US. The TSCO Vegas to Reno. Just like the title says, we will be racing off-road from Las Vegas to Reno in August. Death Valley on the left and the Nevada Test Site/Area 51 on the right. Needless to say, we are pretty unique for a bunch of guys from the Tri Cities. As far as I know, no one here has ever attempted, let alone finished, an off-road race like this.
This is so unique that it gives an opportunity for local businesses to be showcased nationally (the race is going to be broadcast on TV this fall) and at local events that we bring the truck and team to (Cool Desert Nights comes to mind).
So, we are looking for LOCAL sponsors. Breweries, aggriculture, tourism, auto dealers, manufacturers. . .anyone really. . . that would like be seen and promoted by our "rolling billboard". This race is special. It is BRUTAL even for the guys in the pits and it is VERY visible. Not only that, because of the sponsors we already have, we are just looking to offset the cost of fuel and entries so it is very affordable. When we win, the main sponsor will get to hang the winner's plaque in their place of business as well.

As soon as El Chivo is in top cosmetic form, we need to get down to Baxter's. It's been some time, but I did talk to them while picking up parts one day. I think we should offer Ron Dunn a shot at something, just not sure what. What feel do you have for Legacy? Maybe Cliff could put a bug in their ear for you. And BizRad? What's up there? Should we all sign up on his Forum? And, because of involvement by Danny and me, I'd like to volunteer a spot on the truck for an ARC of Tri Cities sticker.
