i am buying this from a co-worker, it was a D.O.T. truck till 91 when it was bought at auction by my co-worker and his dad. they used it for hauling wood and hunting, it has 143,000 original miles. 360, 4 speed, 3/4 ton with one ton suspension, warn winch, 10 ply tires. he put a new clutch in it 2 years ago and it hasnt even been started for about a year, took about 5 minutes and it was running. $500

not sure if it is a dana 60 or not. it has the 3 u-bolts but i know some HD44's had them also. it was swarming with wasps under the hood so i wasnt crawling under it to look for the "60" stamped into the punkin.













he has had 4 cords of wood in the bed and it hardly squat, he said it is a rough riding bastard empty. im going to be using it for hauling wood and hunting, maybe playing a little and pulling the car trailer.

i need to measure a set of rims i have in the shop to see how wide they are, instead of grinding the calipers i might just run a set i have with less backspacing. i just have to make sure they are not too wide for my inner air locks.


my new u-bolts came in the mail yesterday so hopefully i will have the lift springs put in the front this week. trying to decide if i want to lift the front 3" or 6". 3" would probably just about level the truck out and 6" springs would give me enough room to do a shackle flip on the rear.

i will probably just go 3" because it will be my tow rig when the jeep is done and not my only play rig. i just have to keep telling myself that lol, " the dodge is not the play toy, the dodge is not the play toy"

I found out a little more into on this truck, it was used as a wire setting truck, the front pipes sticking up would hold a roll of wire.

i ordered thick washer inserts tonight for doing the front suspension and ordered 4 bushing assemblies from http://www.DIY4X.com to build a tire gate. there is no tailgate for the truck so i am going to build a tiregate that will also hold 2 jerry cans.

so lifting the front of the truck to level it out will probably have to wait another week for those washers. BUT i have plenty of other work to do.

i havnt really done anything since im still waiting on the title. found out that the owner sent the paperwork for the new title and a copy of his dads death certificate (both of them were on the title). DMV lost the damn paperwork.

the owner told me that there was some rust in the floor boards but he treated it and fiberglassed over it.

He used shower wall plastic/fiberglass and screwed it to the floor. so as soon as i get my welder back from being fixed, that is my first project. welding new floor panels in.

no real holes but a few thin spots so.

did some work on the powerwagon today. pulled the seat and cleaned out from under it, cut out a section of rust and welded in a new piece. bolted the seat back down and installed new seat belts since the old ones didnt work anymore.

That knob shows a 205 shift diagram. 203's have low, low lock, high, high lock and neutral of course.





Is that 8 lug Chrome mod 15 or 16.5" If it's 15" ya got the other 3 to match?

Yup its a 205, not all dodges are 203's lol.

And I have 5 of those matching wheels and yes they are 15. The other 4 have 39.5's on them. Piled up in the shop.

hm could have sworn that was a 203 by the complex shifter looks to me that it has the shifter box and not the round bar pivot shifter of the chvy 205's my bad

Dang you're using them.... I've got a set of 15x10 8 lug white spokes for the new axles but I really don't want to have painted wheels on the truck this time.....



You planning on lifting the truck or leaving it low on 33's?

Actually I havnt decided if I'm going to use them or not. And I'm still deciding on 3" or 6" lift, I have most of the parts for either lift, and those are 35"s on the rear with no lift, just couldn't get them to fit up front without the lift.

Don't use them.. the chrome will look silly on your truck.. I'll trade ya for my white spokes.


Keep it low... Those dodges can run 44's with 4" of lift. All ya gotta do is hack the body...

talked to my friend im buying this from and he finally got the title BBBBUUUUUUTTTTT his dead father was STILL on the title. so instead of just signing it, he sent it back in.

i have a cold so i only worked on it for like 10 minutes tonight.

that thing was heavy, and they welded that big ol plate and ball to it.

my rats nest of wires, that will be taken care of when i build my new bumper.


i thought about putting a set of these in the truck, they are great for offroad use but not so much on long distance. im not a skinny kid racing in a ricer lol.

did some more work on the truck today, pulled the radiator, winch, fenders. my damn camera runs through batteries like crazy so i ended up using my camera phone.

tomorrow and help but now im going to walla walla to drop off some truck parts. got the wiring labeled out and took pics of where things are connected, unbolted the exhaust manifolds and its a good thing i am getting a crate motor cause when i broke loose the manifold water poured out of the no 7 cylinder. finished pulling the inner fender on the drivers side and just getting things ready.

they had just got freight in this morning when i was there so i couldnt get my engine (it was blocked in). so i went back in this afternoon and gt it and my new 3 core radiator. now the fun will begin. i will have to get a comparison picture of the 60 amp alt. and the 100 amp alt, lol its almost comical lol.

The manifold bolts go through the water jackets - this is not a problem.
