ORV Trail Watch

Postby Beep Beep » Wed Oct 08, 2008 10:16 am

You can help keep the trails open:

ABOUT ORV TRAIL WATCH
ORV Trail Watch is a group of off road enthusiasts who want to keep designated trails, motorized recreation areas and certain campgrounds open to ORVs. Many ORV areas receive bad press and are sometimes closed completely due to irresponsible users driving off designated trails, making their own illegal trails, mudding meadows, cutting trees, trespassing and generally creating a mess. Rule breakers are cutting their own throats because they cannot see past fifteen minutes of fun. And their irresponsible behavior gives all ORV users a bad name. We want to help put a stop to it and we feel the best way we can assist is by taking pictures and reporting the rule breakers. Once people know ORV Trail Watch is out taking pictures they may think twice and maybe spread the word to their friends as well.

Sign up and become a member to save the ORV areas
All you have to do to be a member is sign up on the ORV Trail Watch forum, then the official ORV Trail Watch member list, take pictures of rule breakers in the ORV areas and turn the pictures in to the ORV Trail Watch site or the local ORV Law Enforcement Officers. It is FREE to be a member.

It is time to police our own before all the ORV areas are closed. Sign up today!

Thanks for your support Dave.

Good news. We have 42 people now signed up on the ORV Trail Watch forum and 22 people who posted to be "OFFICIAL" ORV Trail Watch members. I hope more of you sign up. Once we have over 100 Offical ORV Trail Watch members we plan to contact the press and hope to get them to spread the word we are out there watching our trails to keep them open.

You should be able to sign in now. I am not sure why the e-mail isn't working for the Admins.

Up-date:

We have 174 "OFFICIAL" ORV Trail Watch members as of right now.

I hope more of you sign up. The press is now taking us serious. The Yakima Herald did a nice write up to help spread the word we are out there watching our trails to keep them open. http://sportsyakima.com/2009/05/trail-watchers-are-stewards-of-the-forest/. I was told the Spokesman-Review is thinking of doing a story too.

With the NOVA funds taken away there could be less law enforcement on the trails so more users may do damage that will cause ORV area closures. We need your help to save the trails. More people watching, educating and reporting will detour user damage. Get your ORV Trail Watch decal and show you are one of many who cares if people are causing damage to our ORV areas.

Sign up today. It's Free! http://orvtrailwatch.org
