Naches Trail Closure

AS OF NOVEMBER 15 THE NACHES TRAIL IS CLOSED PER THE USFS REGULARTIONS. IT WILL REOPEN JULY 15 2009. THERE WILL BE A WORK PARTY TO REOPEN THE TRAIL IN JUNE FOR BRIGDE AND BASIC MAINTAINCE

WOW, it was open for Memorial day weekend this year. Unless that's a different trail/area.

The closure as stated only is the West side of the trail. The lower part on the East side is open earlier in the year. It has been that way for a long time.

Kathy on the PNW4WDA e-mailed me. We were talking about those spray painted numbers. She thought there was only one so I sent here a picture of #6 that was take last week. She said the guy could get a ticket that drove there.

We just call the Forest Service yesterday to make sure there was not some new change. We were told the Naches Past closure does not include any of the trail within the Naches Ranger District. On the map it looks like the district line is at the Naches Pass Sign.
