We need to be aware of this and other ordinances like it! This is from Maricopa County, Arizona. Please read and comment:

Keeping this stuff in everyone's face is part of my job here. We are, at this point, fighting a losing battle if we don't get organized better than we are. BRC and United can only do so much unless we get our act together...

I don't know if people read this this you post Grumpy, I certainly hope they do as they should and get involved. I know I'm guilty most of the time of just skimming with the intention of going back later to be more thorough and then never do.

If I can help my summarizing, this is what I get out of this:
Non-paved and non-marked roads/trails will be off limits unless the trail is marked, it's on a government approved map, or on a government map, written permission.

This actually doesn't sound much different what what I assumed it to be. I know in WI and VA the trails we used were NOT marked and w/o knowing someone or using a map (which could lead you to someone's farm) you had no idea if you were on private land. I've enjoyed seeing marked trails for 4-wheel'n here in WA.

This also will affect the quads and sleds out there I would assume.
