Rear axle for my '97 TEEE JAY...

Postby ROMMICON » Tue Jan 27, 2009 10:00 am

Hey guys, lookin for a decent rear end to put under my TJ, my D35 ate its pinion bearings, so I'm lookin for a gear set for that piece of crap or, a whole new set up... D44, 8.8, yadda yadda yadda, am willing to pay cash, build bumpers, receiver hooks, winch plates, or other misc. fab stuffs. So let me know what's out there.... thanks!

Go down to Pasco Auto Wrecking and talk to Steve. He may have an 8.8 laying around for a semi reasonable price. Yes, this is a shameless plug for my kid's employer

My dad is friends with Teddy, the owner, and he told him he had a D35 for 800.00 normally 900.00 so thanks, but I can get an 8.8 from a guy in auburn for $250.00. Just thought I'd check with the guys on the forum to see what's out there, or here...

The guy in Auburn is probably John from Auburn Car Repair and off-road.

Good guy. Was part of our race crew once. He'll be straight with you.

You can always try some of the forums like pirate, jeepforum, ect.

I had really good luck finding a TJ D44 housing on those sites and then got the gears and locker I wanted and went from there.
