CO2 setups

Postby Lud » Fri Feb 06, 2009 6:32 pm

Looking to stop borrowing other people's air (most notably Lurch's) when airing up the tires on my Jeep.

1) What size CO2 tank? 10lb, 15lb, 20lb?

2) Where's a good place to pick up the tank, regulator, hose, ect for the setup?

3) Where can I get it refilled?

4) Do they need to be re-certified? Just curious. My dad was saying he thought tanks like this have to be re-certified or exchanged every 5 years.

I bought a 20 lb tank with a new reg and gauges filled for $100 off of a guy on NWW awhile back. There are generic regulators that are 120 psi max and the better ones that are adjustable to 160 pis like mine came with.

Filling can be done at oxarc or any other welding shop. As far as certifiing the tank I wouldn't worry about it much, if a welding shop won't do it then just go exchange it at kennewick ranch and home, those kids don't care what you bring in..

I have an extra tank you can have. You can buy a regulator at any welding shop or online. Oxarc can fill em pretty cheap.
You can follow me.... but it's gonna hurt ;)
